Shadowrun: Takedown

Played our first session last night and the cooperative runner dynamic really shines — everyone has to coordinate their roles instead of just rolling dice solo. Turns move fast for a tabletop game, which keeps the tension up without dragging.

The cooperative aspect really shines here since everyone has to coordinate their moves or the whole run falls apart. Took us a bit to learn the rules but the tension of a timed takedown keeps the table locked in.

My group finished our first run in about ninety minutes and immediately wanted to replay it with different roles. The team-based tension is real — you actually feel the pressure when the clock is ticking and someone's plan falls apart. Perfect for a weeknight when nobody wants a six-hour campaign.
