A lonely station, in the middle of either lava or glaciers. BattleTech BattleMat Fire and Ice 03
Umber Station is a high-quality neoprene hexmat for mech battles big and small. Combine with the rest of the Fire and Ice series for a megamap!
The detail on the hexes is crisp and the artwork really sells the "lava planet" vibe—even the glacial side looks properly desolate. I mostly use it for smaller skirmishes, and the surface keeps minis from sliding around without being too tacky. Rolled it up twice now and it lies flat with no creases
The neoprene is thick enough that dice and miniatures stay put even during intense matches, and the lava side of Umber Station looks fantastic on the table. I've played on it four times already and there's no curling or peeling at the edges.
The neoprene surface lies perfectly flat on the table, no curling at the edges even after an hour-long game. The lava-side artwork is so detailed it actually made me double-check my heat-tracker rules mid-battle.
