Replacing the resin DIY model kit offered in the Clan Invasion campaign is this (plastic) UNION map-scale DropShip. Detail levels are incredible. It measures approximately 3.6" at the circumference, slightly smaller in volume than the resin kit in order to preserve scale difference with the OVERLORD class DropShip
Wasn't sure the switch from the old resin kit to plastic would hold up, but the detail on this thing is honestly wild. Panel lines and the engine housings are crisp right out of the box, and at 3.6" it sits perfectly on the map next to my minis.
The plastic version is a huge upgrade over the old resin kit — way less cleanup and no warping. At roughly 3.6" around it still fits perfectly on a standard mapsheet hex, and the panel detail holds up even under a magnifier.
Pulled it out of the box and just stared at the hull for a good minute—the panel lines and greebles are crisp enough that I almost don't want to paint over them. Fits the map scale perfectly next to my mechs, and the plastic feels sturdy, not brittle like the old resin kits I've wrestled with.
